Galvanized Sheet Suppliers, Manufacturers in India

  • Galvanized steel sheet is intended for use where greater corrosion protection is required without painting. A lower cost alternative to stainless steel, galvanized sheet and plates have a rust free protection for up to 10 years, while maintaining strength with a durable surface coating. Asiamet stocks many sizes in precut sizes, full mill sizes or we can hot dip virtually any size and quantity required for your welding or construction project. Galvanized sheet can be cut, machined or welded by common methods used for regular steel, but adequate ventilation should be used to avoid inhalation of fumes when heated.

  • Hot Dip Galvanized Sheet, Structural Galvanized Sheet, Stamped Galvanized Sheet, Deep Drawing Quality Hot Dip Galvanized Sheet (DDQ), Hardened Hot Dip Galvanized Sheet, 90 GSM Galvanized Sheets, 125 GSM Galvanized Sheets, 200-270 GSM Galvanized Sheets

  • Galvanized Sheets Available for Sale in Thicknesses Range from 0.13 mm – 4.0 mm. Call Us for Best Prices for Galavnized Sheets!

Galvanized Sheet in India – Top Jindal, Sheet Manufacturers in India!

  • Asiamet a leading supplier of galvanized steel sheet, produced by leading Indian manufacturers such as Jindal and Tata. Galvanized steel is defined as a carbon steel sheet coated with zinc on both sides. There are two main processes used to produce galvanized steel: continuous hot dipping and elector-galvanizing.
  • The hot dipping process consists of passing the steel through a bath of molten zinc, while the elector-galvanizing process consists of the application of zinc through electrolytic disposition.  The result is a layer of zinc tightly adhering to the base metal through an iron-zinc bonding layer.  Our hot dipped galvanized products are manufactured to ASTM A653 specifications; our electro galvanized products conform to ASTM A879 specifications.
  • Hot dip galvanizing is a process of coating steel with a thin zinc layer, which serves as a barrier between the steel and the environment. The finish is applied by passing the steel through a molten bath of zinc at a high temperature. Asiamet hot dipped galvanized steel sheet and coil service capabilities include slitting, shearing, blanking, degreasing and brushing, stretcher leveling and metallurgical support.
  • A zinc coating is one of the most effective and economical methods of protecting bare steel from a corroding environment. The zinc not only serves as a barrier between the steel and the environment, but it will also sacrifice itself to protect the underlying steel sheet. Sacrificial or galvanic protection occurs when two dissimilar metals are in contact and coupled with water and oxygen. Zinc corrodes preferentially to the iron in steel. This protection prevents corrosion of the steel at areas not covered with zinc. Thus, the spread of corrosion from cut edges, drill holes, etc. is minimized.

What is Galvanized Steel

Galvanizing is one of the most widely used to methods for protecting metal from corrosion. It involves applying a thin coating of zinc to a thicker base metal, helping to shield it from the surrounding environment. The next time you are in your car, take a look at the street signs and lamp posts you pass. A large number of them will have a mute, silver color on them. That “silver” is actually the coating of zinc Galvanization is the process of applying a protective zinc coating to steel or iron in order to prevent premature rust and corrosion. Proponents of galvanized steel who may use it to construct or repair steel structures for example benefit from lower maintenance and repair costs because of its special properties.

Advantages of Galvanized Steel

  • Rust Resistance: Iron in steel is incredibly prone to rusting, but zinc acts as a protective buffer between moisture, oxygen, and the steel.
  • Easy Inspection: It’s fairly simple to tell how strong a galvanized coating is, just by looking at it. There are also quick stress tests that can tell you how thick the zinc is.
  • Sacrificial Anode: This ensures that any damaged steel is protected by the surrounding zinc coating. It doesn’t matter if the steel section is completely exposed; the zinc will still corrode first
